Bring Me The Horizon Channel ‘Suicide Season’ In Crazy New Teaser

That’s The Spirit! Bring Me The Horizon seem to be cooking up some heavy bangers for Post Human. In a “crazy” new teaser, Oli Sykes shows off some fast-and-high vocals similar to the ones he utilized back in the Suicide Season era of the band. For those who aren’t aware, Post Human is a compilation of four EPs that Bring Me The Horizon are working on simultaneously. The previous release, Post Human: Survival Horror, was met with praise; with most fans enjoying the return of the heavy side of the band along with high quality production and catchy choruses.

Despite being a huge fan of Sempiternal, That’s The Spirit, and AMO, I consider Survival Horror to be the band’s best work yet. Pretty impressive that they pulled that off during a pandemic! Now it seems one of the chapters of Post Human could end up even heavier than Survival Horror. Oli Sykes posted a teaser video on TikTok asking fans if the respective song was “too crazy”. The video sparked excitement in the fanbase, so I will have to take that as a solid “no”. Watch the heavy teaser down below.

The Heavy New Post Human Teaser

Bring Me The Horizon have been slowly rejoining the heavy side of the scene. Since the release of the Death Stranding track Ludens in November of 2019, the band have been flirting with the metalcore sound. While some would consider their new music more along the lines of nu-metal due to the electronic elements featured on Post Human: Survival Horror, the metalcore sound is still present (especially in tracks like Dear Diary). The heavy new teaser featured on TikTok shows a much more streamlined metalcore sound. Knowing Bring Me The Horizon, the full song will contain plenty of surprises and won’t be so straightforward.

Bring Me The Horizon Are Ambitious

If one of the Post Human EPs is even heavier than Survival Horror, there is no doubt that there will be a little something for all Bring Me The Horizon fans to enjoy. If any band is to benefit from releasing four sonically different EPs close together, a diverse band like Bring Me The Horizon are the perfect ones to do so. Could this be the new go-to direction for the band? This would be a great way to ensure creative freedom and experimentation is possible. I for one welcome all chapters of Post Human with opens arms. Bring me the heavy one and the pop one.
