Here’s Why Limp Bizkit Is All Over Your Social Media Feed

Limp Bizkit is back baby! After dominating Lollapalooza 2021, the band is all anyone seems to be talking about. From Fred Durst’s hilarious “Dad Vibes” getup, to Wes Borland throwing his guitar to fans, the set is being considered “iconic” by many viewers. A video of the set already has over 309,000 views on Youtube. It wasn’t Woodstock 99 (thank God!), but concert-goers did party like it was 1999. Here is why Limp Bizkit has everyone talking.

Fred Durst Rocks the Dad Vibes

People were already talking about Limp Bizkit before they even took the stage. Fred Durst was spotted looking like a total dad. While he does sport a casual attire and grey hair in real life – and in his TikTok videos – he intentionally went all out Dad for Lollapalooza. Fred could have been in Eskimo Callboy’s Hypa Hypa video with these looks. The Nu-metal star didn’t just look the part though, he played it well too. Dancing on stage in a hilarious – but appropriate – fashion, Durst is going all in on the comedy that Limp Bizkit has always had. His stage presence and frontman attitude was undeniable. The set is incredibly entertaining, with laugh-out-loud worthy stage commentary and energetic crowd leading. Limp Bizkit are here to take over 2021 onwards, and bring the partying back to the world.

Wes Borland Tosses His Guitar, and Fans Breaks Stuff

Limp Bizkit is famous for breaking stuff, and Wes Borland takes this seriously. The crunchy riff writer threw his guitar into the audience during their final track, Take a Look Around. In party metal fashion, fans didn’t keep the guitar or sell the guitar online. Rowdy fans smashed the guitar following a chant to “Break Stuff”. Two New Songs Have Surfaced

Following both their Lollapalooza set and The Limited Last Minute Post Pandemic Popup Party (with the amazing up-and-coming band, Spiritbox!), Limp Bizkit played new – never before heard – tracks over the PA. At Lollapalooza, the band fittingly showed off their upcoming track, Dad Vibes. The track sounds incredibly fresh, yet classic, at the same time. The catchy track is sure to make waves upon official release. The band proves “you can’t live without em” with this exciting teaser. Following The Limited Last Minute Post Pandemic Popup Party the band showed off the upcoming track, Outro – Turn it Up BITCH. The track is similar to what can be heard from Dad Vibes, solidifying a new sound for the band. Judging by other unreleased tracks such as Wasteoid – assuming it makes it on the upcoming record – there will still be plenty of bounce and riffs contained within the new sound.

Hopefully this time the album is really coming. Following this buzz from the Lollapalooza set, I think the time is finally coming. The band have taken over the internet and all social media services. It really does feel like we are partying like it is 1999 this time.
