Following The Abrupt End Of Tour, Limp Bizkit Promise New Song Is Close
Limp Bizkit is all anyone is talking about this last week. Unfortunately, despite hype being at such a high point, the band has had to cancel their current tour with promising up-and-coming band, Spiritbox. The announcement led to much heartbreak to fans of both bands. However, Limp Bizkit did not leave fans in the dark. In a statement made on their Instagram, the nu-metal band assured fans that they are loved by the band, and confirmed that their first song in over seven years is coming soon. If you watched – or witnessed live (you lucky devil) – the band’s now famous Lollapalooza 2021 set, you’d know that this song is of course ‘Dad Vibes’. Is the song really coming soon? We can only hope. After all of this hype surrounding the band, releasing the song soon would definitely be the smartest move.
The Tour May Be Over, But Limp Bizkit’s Comeback Has Only Just Begun
While it is unfortunately that such an exciting tour was canceled at such an exciting time, there is possibly nothing more exciting to Limp Bizkit fans than their triumphant return. I have no doubt that this will be a true comeback for the band. The band is reportedly seeing 100% increases in record sales and Spotify streams right now. This is of course directly due to their internet takeover following their Lollapalooza set. I know I have been contributing to this, as I have had Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdog Flavored Water on repeat all week.
Similar to how Eskimo Callboy took over the metalcore scene by releasing a wild and fun song during quarantine, summer of 2021 might be the perfect time for the full-fledged return of Limp Bizkit. The world wants silly, fun, and ridiculous more than ever. After being deprived of these types of vibes (Dad Vibes?), I believe Limp Bizkit can bring it all back. Once shows return in a more stable manner, I believe we are going to see some of the rowdiest crowds in ages. If there is anyone who can lead this movement, it is Limp Bizkit. As discussed earlier, thankfully a new song should be coming soon.
